The Animal Shelter Society in Muskingum County wants to invite you out to support their organization.

The first ever Paws and Claws Summer Jam Cornhole Tournament will take place on August 13th from 10AM to 5PM at Zane's Landing Park. The Animal Shelter Society of Muskingum County is having a Christmas open house this Saturday at 10 a.m. Executive Director Jody Murray says the first 12 adoptions of the day will be half price, and says the open house will be a full day of fun events for the entire family.

In some parts of the state pet owners and their four legged family members are falling victim to crime.

Authorities in Clark and Delaware counties both say they've had people take pets found wandering on the street sold on Craigslist. It's a term referred to by some as pet flipping.
