A local flag football team has bragging rights, well, at least for a year.
Team Foxfire and team Pepsi battled it out on the Maysville High School football field for the turkey bowl championship. The turkey bowl is sponsored by the Avondale Youth Center and all proceeds go to their Christmas fund. The Avondale Youth Center helps around 65 kids and their families a year. Saturday's Turkey Bowl had 12 local teams competing to play in the championship game tomorrow. The Turkey Bowl is put on by the Avondale Youth League and all the proceeds go toward it's Christmas Fund. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is one of the teams. Sheriff Matt Lutz says he has great athletes on his team, so it should be a competitive game.
