The highway patrol had its hands full with back to back accidents on U.S. 40 Thursday afternoon.
Trooper Todd Henry said at about 2:30 Loren Lobell was headed East in a Dodge Caravan when he attempted to make a left turn hitting West Bound Leanne Ballinger's Pontiac Bonaville. About 10 minutes later Trooper Henry said another two car accident took place at that same location.

Two people were pinned in a vehicle following an accident Thursday evening on U.S. 40 in Zanesville.
According to Trooper Jeff Fowler with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, around 5 p.m. Roy Patterson of Marne was driving a red Pontiac when he attempted to turn onto National Road. Patterson turned in front of a green Saturn driven by Jean Maxwell of Zanesville and was struck.
The collision sent Maxwell's car off the roadway, hitting a sign and utility pole....
