Zanesville City School officials are offering a cash reward for information leading to the capture of vandals who are targeting the district.

Student Services Director Kevin Appleman said over the last month, two windows at Zanesville Middle School and three truck windows at a maintenance building were smashed.

In addition, a Coca-Cola vending machine was defaced and an athletic department golf cart was also stolen.

A Crooksville family continues to mourn the loss of 18-year-old David Savage Junior after vandalism stirs-up the mysterious death of the past.

Local rental property owners may soon have to register with the city of Zanesville.

Code Enforcement Committee members along with Zanesville Building Inspector, Tim Smith, gathered Wednesday afternoon, to discuss what they can do to prevent rental property owners from neglecting their homes. A weekend string of car vandalism seems to have targeted multiple Maysville High School students.

"There was glass everywhere, so I mean the truck was un-drivable, he couldn't even drive the vehicle," says Kim Morris.

A clock that many Zanesvile residents consider to be a local landmark is destroyed.

The Muskingum Valley Red Cross is cleaning up after finding out it has been a target of vandalism.

It says the incident happened some time overnight.

WHIZ's Emily Baird has more.

When Red Cross employees arrived for work around eight a.m. this morning, they didn't expect to find anyting out of the ordinary in their parking lot.
