People all over the area were taking advantage of the sunny and warm weather and WHIZ's Katie McGraw talked to a few of those people this afternoon to see what they had in store for the beautiful day.

The warm temperatures around our area turn many's people's thoughts to spring.

This morning, the owner of Dog Watch of Southeast Ohio was ready to shed his sweatshirt as he put in an invisible fence for a homeowner. He said the thawing of the ground allowed him to get a jump start on projects.

"Normally my busy season doesn't pick up until the end of February maybe the first of March," explained Mike Kinneer.

The final day of January felt like a spring day in May!

Tuesday's unseasonably warm temperatures made for a great day to be outside or to take an extra long lunch break.

We caught up with walkers at the Bethesda Fitness Trail who were enjoying the warm weather.

The calendar says October, and the leaves are changing, but it doesn't feel like fall outside.

The sun was shining, and temperatures almost reached 80 degrees across our area.  WHIZ caught up with some joggers enjoying the warm weather on the Gorsuch Fitness Trail behind Genesis-Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.  Diane Milligan said she enjoys the scenery along the trail.

As the weather warms up, more people tend to spend time outdoors enjoying the sunshine, but deputies with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office aren't able to do so.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said as the temperature increases, so do the amount of calls to the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.
