Some Zanesville residents will be without water Wednesday.
 

The City's Water Department will be replacing a water valve at Riverside Park.
 

Work is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and be completed by 11:00 a.m.

The Army Corps of Engineers is keeping a close eye on Dillon Lake and the downstream into the Muskingum River.

The area has received four inches of rain over the past several days.

"We monitored McConnelsville particularly from Saturday all the way through Saturday night and up until Sunday morning-in the event that it might take a pretty significant rise. We were going to immediately shut down," says project manager, Cliff Kilpatrick.

Muskingum County residents are able to get a gallon of water for the cost of one penny.

The County Water Department installed a bulk water station at 375 Richards Road.

"It's a top-fill machine. It's easy access in and out. This is our second one in Muskingum County. We're looking at possibly two other locations, " says Commissioner Jerry Lavy.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is reporting water on roadways, saying it's mainly contained to the northern portion of the county.

There are reports of water along State Route 93, near the Fresno area and along Ohio 16 at Adams Mills.

Dispatchers says they are working with O-DOT to post high water signs in the area to warn motorists.

Make sure not to drive through areas of high water. It can be dangerous to both you and your vehicle.

The Duncan Falls area will soon be one step closer to receiving water from the county.

Today the Muskingum County Commissioners opened bids for a water main extension project.

"It's on Wilhelm Road," said Commissioner John Bates. "It will help to make the loop down to the Duncan Falls area and down around Salt Creek. It brings the water further down into that area."

If you are looking to get your hands on a prized fish, there are some great catches at area water sources.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is naming more than a dozen lakes that would contain fish species that the "Fish Ohio" program recognizes. Buckeye Lake in Fairfield, Licking, and Perry counties is a good spot for saugeye and muskie fish while you can find largemouth bass at Salt Fork Lake in Guernsey County.

Some Zanesville water customers will be without service on Monday. The City today announced that Kokosing Construction will be performing a water main tie-in for the city water treatment plant. The following areas will be without water service: Buckeye Drive, Neil Avenue, Carpenter Street, Arter Lane, Wallwork Avenue and Adamsville Road from Coal Run Road to Neil Avenue. The Ohio EPA will be divvying up about 49 million dollars to help fund 42 water treatment projects across the state, including several local projects.

Muskingum County will get more than two million dollars to help with sewage treatment systems along Coopermill Road, Potts Lane, Middleton Drive, Woody Lane, and Benjamin Avenue.

Noble County will see about five million dollars for the construction of a sanitary sewer system.

Zanesville will see many water/sewer projects throughout the city over the next 10 years.

According to Zanesville Public Service Director Mike Sims the EPA mandates the city replace combined sewers where, when the storm flow exceeds the pipe's capacity, they discharge to the river.

The Crooksville Water Treatment Plant is issuing a boil advisory until further notice.

The areas affected by this boil advisory include the head of East Main Street, 1st Street, and all of Fairview Heights.

The boil advisory went into effect a little after 1 p.m. Sunday.
