Firefighters in Harrison Township battle a structure fire in Philo.

The fire began just after 5 a.m. Wednesday at a vacant trailer.

The trailer is located at 628 5th Street.

Wayne Township Fire Department was also called in to assist.

An overnight fire in Muskingum County destroys a home. 

Wayne Township Fire Chief Don Alexander said it happened just before 2:30 Friday morning at 8090 South River Road. 

The Chief says when his crews arrived on the scene part of a double-wide modular home was fully involved in flames.

 Alexander said the fire appears to have started as a result of some electrical wiring near a computer.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office reports that fire crews from Wayne and Harrison Townships are battling a structure fire in Gaysport, Friday morning.

Not many details are known at this time. The fire was reported to the sheriff's office around 2:45 a.m.

Firefighters from multiple departments and some helpful neighbors spent hours battling a barn blaze Tuesday afternoon in Salt Creek Township.

A fire started in the barn of Carl Longstreth at 4140 Salt Creek Drive around 4 p.m.

One local community is showing support for it's fire department.

The 17th Annual Antique and Classic Automobile/Truck/Bike Show was held this afternoon at Sam Hatfield Stadium in Duncan Falls. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to a fire Wednesday night in Wayne Township. The fire broke out at 1611 Lawhead Lane around 7:30 p.m.

Wayne Township Fire Chief Don Alexander says that the owner of the home was grilling just outside the garage, and went inside for a minute. When she came out, the detached garage had caught on fire.
