Zanesville 1 - West Muskingum 3

(ZANESVILLE) -- A hat trick from Amman Lalusa proved too much for the Zanesville, as West M picked up the win 3-1 on Saturday.  Freshman Doug Welker provided the Blue Devils only score in the losing effort.  It's the first win of the year for the Tornadoes, and the first defeat of the season for ZHS.

It wasn't the best way to open as a head coach, but Jeremy Ketchum and the West Muskingum Tornadoes do have some excitement coming into  this season. The Blue and Gold were just 1-9 a season ago but found a way to get in the win column in the season finale last year.

With the excitement of their win over Claymont, West has been working hard in the weight room this offseason. The only problem is that the Tornadoes don't have many bodies. West M only has 24 kids out for the team...

Students at West Muskingum are winding down their school year and a project that began a year ago is coming to an end as well.

"It's kind of neat to come back and say I was part of that," said Sophomore Abbi Brock. "I helped make something like...

Jobs cut include six paraprofessionals, four intervention specialists, two title one positions, two language arts, one assistant middle school principal, one business teaching, one third grade and one French...
