The State Highway Patrol spent Thursday morning catching up on paperwork from traffic accidents caused by the winter weather.

In total Lt. Steven Rine of the Zanesville Post said they covered ten accidents Wednesday and two Thursday morning.

While many may realize to slow down when they see snow, what you can't see may be worse and that causes some very slippery conditions.

The National Weather service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the entire viewing area till Friday afternoon. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR PERRY AND MORGAN COUNTIES, WHICH WILL GO INTO EFFECT AT MIDNIGHT AND WILL LAST THROUGH 11 AM MONDAY.
 

A clipper system will quickly enter our area Sunday night. It looks as though most of our viewing area will see an additional 1-2 inches of snow overnight and through early tomorrow morning. A MAJORITY OF OUR VIEWING AREA IS UNDER A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY UNTIL 6 A.M. SUNDAY. HOCKING COUNTY AND AREAS JUST TO THE SOUTH OF US WILL BE UNDER A WINTER STORM WARNING DURING THAT SAME TIME PERIOD.

Snowfall totals are already beginning to mount across the area. Morgan County has the most, at more than 3 inches. The rest of us are waking up with 1-2 inches of snowfall. Knox County has the least, with half an inch.

Snow will continue to fall this morning at a more steady pace...
