Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller said charges have been filed in the Woodlawn Cemetery fighting incident. 

The Chief said two adults and four juvenile students face charges. Chief Miller reports that on Tuesday April 22,  45-year-old David Roush, of Zanesville, was passing by a group of 14-16 Zanesville Community High School students when he saw one student throw a rock and hit a sign.

Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton says someone did some major damage to an area cemetery. Whiz's Courtney Wheaton reports that police are asking for the public's help to find out who's responsible.

Broken and displaced tombstone litter the grounds at Woodlawn Cemetery just between Pershing Rd. and Cliffwood Ave. City officials believe that late last night someone came into the cemetery and started to destroy the grave sites one by one.

Zanesville City Council heard the first reading of an ordinance authorizing city officials to advertise for bids for an upcoming paving project.

Public Service Director Mike Sims said the street department will be working to replace deteriorating sections of road within Woodlawn Cemetery on Pershing Road.

Sims said the project is expected to cost about $38,000.

"It will just be various sections depending on the worst of the worst and we have about 600 tons of asphalt...
