The City of Zanesville said Linden Avenue will remain closed on the southbound lane and open on the northbound lane from Lee Street to West Main Street until Friday, June 27, while repair work is done to a wall in the area.
The Department of Public Service announced the underpass lane will be closed to all traffic while work is completed. A wall near the railroad underpass on Linden Avenue suffered damage, after a vehicle crashed into it.
Zanesville's Y-Bridge added some color this afternoon as volunteers from the Muskingum Valley Garden Society worked to plant flowers as part of the downtown beautification process. Zanesville police say that had several people call in and say a woman was attempting to jump off the Y-bridge.
Lt. Bill Shaw says it officers arrived at the Y-bridge around 8pm Monday night where a woman was threatening to jump off. A Zanesville policeman talked to the woman and eventually got close enough to grab her and pull her over.
