Zanesville commuters may have noticed the construction taking place near the railroad by the Y Bridge. This is all due to a recent motorist accident.

Sunday was the final day of the Y Bridge Arts Festival at Colony Square Mall where local artists were praised for their contributions.

A hit-skip crash is under investigation in Zanesville.

Police said there were actually two separate accidents involving the same vehicle.  It all started when a Chevy Cavalier hit a Dodge Grand Caravan near the Y Bridge.

Police said the driver of the Caravan was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries, but the driver of the Cavalier kept going and got involved in another crash at Terry's Tavern on Linden Avenue.

A drive across the Y Bridge just got a little more colorful.

A couple of years ago, an idea was born to beautify one of Zanesville's historic landmarks. That dream has now blossomed into a reality. After today, 16 flower baskets now sit on top of they Bridge's lamp posts.

The project was organized by the Muskingum Valley Garden Society, and with the help of numerous contributions from area businesses, the society was able to attain the baskets and put in an irrigation...
