The 6th Annual Y Bridge Arts Festival is taking place at Zanes Landing Park the first weekend in August.

The event will run from 6PM to 10PM Friday evening. It will also run from 11AM to 10PM Sunday. The festival brings together over 100 artists from around the nation, 16 are coming all the way from China. Those who attend will get to enjoy food, music and of course artwork. Volunteer Coordinator Tami Swope, says there is a lot of variety for viewing and purchase.

The 6th Annual Y Bridge Festival is looking for artists to take part in their event this August 1st and 2nd. 

The new deadline for artists to register for the event is April 30th. New artists will be juried in. Artists who have participated in the previous five festivals are automatically invited.

Planning for the 6th annual Y Bridge Arts Festival is already underway and organizers need your help.

Artists from Ohio and surrounding areas found their way to Colony Square Mall for this year's Y-Bridge Arts Festival.

More than 50 artists set up booths at the event to showcase and sell their work. One returning artist came from St.Louisville, Ohio and says that Zanesville has always been a popular place for him to sell his work.

Among the more unique arts that took place at the Y-Bridge Arts Festival was the art of improvisation.

Members of the Sparks Improv Troop captivated crowds at Zane's Landing Park Saturday afternoon.

The group is made up of high school students from all over Muskingum County.

West Muskingum senior Ryan Chernick has been apart of the group from the beginning and said its a challenge to perform improv, given its it's an unscripted style.

Hundreds of people were out for the second day of the Y-Bridge Arts Festival Saturday.

The event at Zane's Landing Park featured a variety of local art, music and writing.

Members of the Y-City Writers group were out selling books written by published authors and independent writers.

The 4th Annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival is set to kick off Friday at its new location.

The set up process will begin Thursday at noon at Zane's Landing Park.

The "Y" Bridge Arts Festival came to a close this evening proving to be a major success after only its third year.
