About 100 people dressed in green participated in the St. Patty's Day Mud Run on Saturday afternoon.

"This is our second annual St. Patrick's Day Mud Run, and we were real excited, we were hoping to have 100 runners and that's exactly where we ended up this year. The 2012 YMCA Women of Achievement award recipients were honored Wednesday night at a dinner at Ohio University Zanesville.

An inability to pay will not keep kids from the YMCA experience; that is the goal of the "Y" Strong Kids campaign that kicked off today. The campaign goal is to raise $20,000.

Each box lunch sold for the fundraiser generates $2.00 that will go towards supporting families who would not otherwise be able to join the "Y".

Zanesville runners are showing their dedication despite the cold temperatures.

During the 7th annual Zaney Reindeer Run, participants were able to help the Muskingum Family YMCA spread their message.  The event helps with the YMCA's financial assistance program which provides scholarships to the youth of the community.

The YMCA is kicking off its 12 week Summer Camp next Tuesday.

It's open to those going into kindergarten next year through 8th grade.

Nine women are honored for their good works in the Zanesville community.

The recipients vary in background as well as age.

More than sixty residents laced up Saturday morning for a run to help local children.

The walk/run wrapped up the month long Strong Kids Campaign put on by the YMCA. The Strong Kids Campaign raises money to fund the YMCA's financial assistance program.

This week's YMCA "Women of Achievement" recipient has a constant presence at the gym.

Genesis Lifestyle and Fitness Director, Beth Chapman, says both the nomination and recognition came as a shock to her.
