Z.A.A.P. is featuring Carron Baxter in the front window at their 625 Main Street location. Baxter has six acrylics on display that are all for sale. Downtown Zanesville is hosting its First Friday Art Walk.

The Z.A.A.P. Featured Artist of the Month is Nancy Holland.  She works with oil, acrylics, watercolor and pencil drawings.  Holland said her style is derived from the true love and appreciation for nature.

"I've done one in a lot of greens, and it kind of reminds me of spring after a storm," said Holland.  "There's also a winter scene, and I guess that's the only snow we got this year....

Zanesville photographers are sharing their talent with the community at this Friday's downtown art walk.

Members of the Y-bridge Photo Club are the Artist Colony of Zanesville artists of the month.  Crystal Fuller said the club schedules field trips all over Ohio to explore new inspirations for photographs.

The monthly First Friday Art Walk is this Friday night in Zanesville. ZAAP Art Gallery in the downtown will feature paintings from artist Hong Yin.

Artists Shelly Tolliver and Christy Swope are in the spotlight for April. Both artists use pencil and pastel as their medium. While Swope was not available to speak with WHIZ, we were able to catch up with Tolliver on why she chose the season of spring to showcase at this month's First Friday.
