The Ohio University-Zanesville and Zane State College campus is making a new turn in providing security for their students.
Since November Bethany Hayes has been the Director of Safety and Security. Prior to joining the Zanesville campus, Hayes served the for ten years, where she was responsible for conducting training sessions in addition to providing community policing on campus. A fall festival walk at the OU-Z/Zane State campus raised money for Crohn's and Colitis research.
The is the second annual "Take Steps For Crohn's and Colitis" walk. Crohn's and Colitis are irritable bowel diseases that infect the intestine and cause pain and fatigue, along with other symptoms. Take Steps manager Brianne McFarland says the worst part about these diseases is not just the severity.
