Hundreds of people tumbled out of bed and stumbled to the theatre this weekend to enjoy Zanesville Community Theatre's production of "9 to 5."

The Zanesville Community Theatre just closed its 50th season and on Friday, Mayor Jeff Tilton recognized the theatre by signing a proclamation for the thesp organization.

The Zanesville Community Theatre is gearing up for an upcoming play.

Auditions were held tonight and will be held again tomorrow, from PM-9PM, in order to cast 14 roles for the play "August: Osage County" with performances scheduled for the last week in April.

A well-known musical is coming to our area...

The Zanesville Community Theatre is featuring "Sweeny Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". Assistant Director Amy Underwood said the audience can expect a unique performance.

The Zanesville Community Theatre rehearsed for the final time before opening weekend.

They will be performing "All Shook Up." The curtain goes up Friday at 8p.m. for opening night and is a 50's style musical comedy featuring the tunes of Elvis Presley. The show is being directed by Rich Tolliver. To order tickets and to check showtimes, you can go to their website at www.zct.org.

Two local groups are teaming up to help area kids.

The Salvation Army and the Zanesville Community Theatre are pairing up for the 3rd Annual Mystery Dinner. Salvation Army Office Assistant Mindy McCloy said it's a youth fundraiser and it's a lot of fun.
