Currently, as the Interim Fire Chief, Craig Stemm says he is excited and looking forward to the challenge of the new position. Stemm scored the highest out of two others applying to be the new chief.

Zanesville Fire Chief Dave Lacy announced Tuesday that he will be retiring.
His retirement will be effective on Thursday.
