Zanesville Police make an arrest in a Thursday morning attempted break-in.

Lt. Bill Shaw says that around 2am police responded to a report of breaking glass on Moxahala Avenue. Officers found a window had been broken out of the Disabled American Veterans Building at 428 Moxahala Avenue.

Police located 38-year-old Isaac Washington III a short distance away on Adams Street. Washington is on probation and found to be out past curfew.

The Zanesville Police Department is prepared to take appropriate actions against anyone who misbehaves during this weekend's Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, and place people in jail if needed.

The Zanesville Police Department is joining other law enforcement agencies throughout the state to start Ohio's "Click It or Ticket" campaign tomorrow.

Lieutenant Tony Coury says the department will be putting extra crews on the street for traffic enforcement, and he says patrolman will have zero tolerance for those who refuse to buckle up.

The Zanesville Police Department says an arrest has been made in connection with an April 21st homicide.

Officers responded to the intersection of Luck Avenue and Ohio Street around 11:30 that night and found 27-year-old Dajuan McKenzie, who had been shot once in the head and once in the upper body. McKenzie later died of his injuries at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

An autopsy will take place Friday for a 27-year-old Zanesville man who was shot multiple times Wednesday.

Zanesville Police Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says that Dajuan D. McKenzie passed away Thursday evening at Grant Hospital in Columbus as a result of the shooting.

The Zanesville Police are investigating a Thursday morning burglary at the Riverside Cruise-In Drive Thru on Hall Avenue.

Lt. Bill Shaw said that around 2:30 two suspects left their bikes behind when the alarm began to sound. They got away with various small items and officers continue to investigate.

Zanesville Police investigate the shooting of a local man.

Lt. Bill Shaw said shortly after 11pm Wednesday the department received multiple 911 calls about shots fired in the Luck Avenue/Ohio Street area.

When officers arrived they found a 27-year-old male had been shot. He was flown to Grant Medical Center where he's in critical condition.

Lt. Shaw said investigators continue to follow up on leads and that a dark colored SUV was seen possibly leaving the scene.

The search is over for a missing Zanesville man.

18-year old Charles Boyer was spotted riding his bicycle home this evening by a friend of the family.

Zanesville Police arrest a Morgan County man on felony drug abuse, while his daughter sits in his car.

The man is 28-year-old Stewart Olney of McConnelsville.

Lt. Bill Shaw says the man was seen near Mead Street and Ridge Avenue around 12:30 Friday morning engaging in suspicious behavior that appeared to be a drug transaction.

A Zanesville woman is sent to Good Samaritan Hospital after a two car accident.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Pine and Chester Streets.

Zanesville Police Department's Lieutenant Tony Coury says 26-year-old Shana Wade was traveling southeast on Pine Street when she went left of center and struck 23-year-old Shawnda Rine. He says Wade was on her cell phone at the time of the crash.
