The Zanesville Police Department says it's continuing to investigate a shooting incident outside Hoppys bar on Putnam Avenue early Sunday morning that injured 4 people. WHIZ has obtained 911 calls from the incident and local reaction.

A head on collision on Taylor Street in Zanesville closed a portion of the roadway early Wednesday.

The Zanesville Police Department responded to the scene around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Taylor and Linden Avenue.

A three car pile up caused some traffic congestion at Ohio 719 and Moxahala avenue, sending two people to the hospital.

A Roseville woman is sentenced in a May purse snatching at the Wal-Mart on Maple Avenue.

Court records show that 23-year-old Rachael Penrod was sentenced to three years of community control for the incident that happened in May of this year.

She was also ordered to complete the Franklin County Community Service program, perform fifty hours of community service and pay restitution.

Penrod plead guilty in July to charges of robbery and three counts of theft.

Zanesville Police investigate an early morning shooting in the city.

Captain Doug Merry says around 4 a.m. Friday,  they received a call that a man had been shot in the Abington Avenue area.
 

He says the victim's car broke down on Sharon Avenue and he walked to his brothers house.

Zanesville Police are on the scene of a one vehicle accident Wednesday morning.

The accident happened minutes before 7 a.m. on the Maple Avenue on ramp to Interstate 70 going eastbound.

The Zanesville Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon, it caught the main suspect in the murder of 24 year old, Phillip Kimbro Jr.

There's little information being shared about an investigation into a burned body found last week in Morgan County.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said the body of 24-year-old Phillip Kimbro Jr was found Thursday, July 25. Tuesday a home on Ayers Street in Zanesville was raided in connection to the investigation into his death.
