Zanesville City Councilman Jeff Tilton has been elected mayor of Zanesville.

Tilton, a Democrat, defeated Republican Rob Sharrer and Independent Randy Case.

Tilton received 2439 votes, to Sharrer's 2280 and Case's 420.

It's almost that time of year where you can sit around a campfire, roast hot dogs and marshmallows and spend time with friends. But this year, things are going to be a little different in the City of Zanesville.
