They only played one half of real football but the Zanesville starters got off to a fast start against a team many in the area think will have another deep successful playoff run. It took the Blue Devils just two plays to score their first touchdown against Tri-Valley enroute to a 17-14 win.

The varsity squad's did play one full half of football but Zanesville was tough on defense as the Scotties, without Austin Jones, struggled to find their rythem at times. Nathan Strock did throw a...

It was as close to a forgone conclusion as you could get in the golf world, but Chase Wilson couldn't relax on the final day of the Zanesville District Golf Association Tournament.

He entered the final round at the Zanesville Country Club with a huge lead but still had his sights on one prize, all four rounds in the 60s. Wilson accomplished that goal by firing a final round 68 at the Country Club which was good enough for a four under par day. In the process Wilson broke the tournament...

For the first time since they were allowed to schedule three scrimmages, the Zanesville football team did just that as they opened up their preseason slate earlier this morning against Coshocton.

It seems like forever but finally the 2012 high school football season kicked off today as teams all across the state participated in their first practice of the season.

Early this morning the Zanesville Blue Devils gathered at Sulsberger Stadium for their first practice of the year, and in the process wipped away the memory of last year's 6-4 campaign. The Blue Devils like many other teams will have three weeks of two-a-day practices with the first day of pads and hitting to come this...

The year was 1987 and Buster Howe was a senior football player with the Blue Devils and he had offers from a number of major universities trying to recruit him to their campuses, but at the time little did he know he would win an award that would change the face of Ohio football forever.

Tonight the ZHS Quarterback Club held a dinner to honor the first ever Mr. Ohio Football winner at the Zanesville Cafetorioum. Howe who still resides in Zanesville was honored by his former coach Whit...
