An area school's students learn how quickly what should be a happy time can turn into one of tragedy.

The Zanesville High School's Students Against Destructive Decisions hosted a mock accident for their peers. The two car crash involved their classmates, who had been out partying just moments before.

"We're going to do everything in our power to try and save their life, but ultimately it's their choice," said Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury. "It's their choice...

Zanesville High School now has something other than their new building to brag about.

A full colored digital wireless sign is now up and running in front of the building. The 8x10 foot sign is meant to showcase academic achievements, sporting events and every day happenings at the building.

"We think that it will be effective not only for those inside our schools but for those we bring in from outside for the events that we host, said Zanesville High School Mark Ulbrich....

All that's left of the old Zanesville High School is one wall and a huge pile of rubble.

People are still gathering in the parking lot across the street, looking at the demolition and trying to hold onto a piece of history. Earl Gadd currently lives a few streets over and was out taking pictures Monday morning.

"When they started building the Roosevelt School, I made pictures of all the progress they have there. I'll have a complete history of that. I did the same things...

Zanesville School District's "trash" became many community members "treasure."

The last of three auctions was held at Zanesville High School this past weekend, and community members lined up to see what was up for sale.

"You look at the prices of some of this stuff and you say what you just give it away, and you say well you're just going to throw it in the trash anyway so it was better than to get something out of it than nothing," says Construction...

It's been years since the auditorium at Zanesville High School has been this packed, but the suspense had people filling seats to get a glimpse at what was inside the 58-year-old time capsule.

Pulling items from the capsule, event coordinator, Wayne Carpenter says, "pictures of the construction of the school, I assume."

Old Newspapers, pictures, and even a record was found in the capsule buried in October of 1952. But while many walked into ZHS today, it wasn't just to...
