Scheduled for Friday, March 26th from 4-8pm at John Glenn High School. The Showcase is open to all students, parents and community members free of charge. East Muskingum School District students in grades K-12 will exhibit their visual, musical, language and performing artworks in the High School gymnasium. The music department will also have performances by students of LMIS, EMMS and JGHS that will take place on the high school stage. The Musical Muskies (5th grade choir) will perform their "Western Round-Up" program at 6pm on the high school stage.
To be held Saturday, April 3rd at 8am at Fort Frye High School. Registration is available at Marietta Library & YMCA, Beverly-Waterford Businesses and Schools and http://www.bunnyhop05k.com. The cost is $10 or $15 for race day registration. The event is sponsored by the American Legion Auxilliary in Beverly.
There will be a benefit for Kim Schuster on March 20th at the Moose Lodge, 3500 West Pike in Zanesville beginning at 6pm. Kim has been battling with her cancer for a long time. There will be a 50/50, Chinese auction, music, and food will be available. All proceeds will go to help her family with all their expenses. The Morgan County Re-Enactors Association will hold their 16th annual Spring Civil War Ball, on March 20th. The Ball will once again be held at Bur Oak State Park Lodge. The Ball is open to anyone in period dress and Spectators are always welcome. Those wishing to participate in the event are asked to pre-register by contacting Mary Ellen Van Horn at 740-554-7601 by March 10th; however walk-on's are welcome. The registration fee for the Ball is $20 single & $30 for couples. Those wishing to reserve a room should contact the Lodge directly and ask for Kathy Jones.
The Agriculture Community invites the public to their Farmers Share Breakfast on Saturday, March 20. The breakfast will be held at the Mid-East Career & Technology Center from 8-11am. The menu includes a made to order omelet, sausage, biscuits, juice, and coffee all for only 60 cents per person.
The Maysville 6-12 Archery spaghetti dinner & fundraiser has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 14th from 1-4pm at the Maysville gym & cafetourium.
On March 13th in McConnelsville from 11-2 at the park across from IGA parking lot and gas station. Signs will be posted. The main goal is building a shelter in the county to better serve the animals.
