There will also be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to take place at 2pm. Participating in the ceremony will be State Representative Troy Balderson, Friends of the Museum President Kevin Coveney, Richard T. Prasse, president of the Ohio Historical Society Board of Trustees, and Muskingum County Commissioners Jerry Lavy and Brian Hill.The event is free and open to the public.

Basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report, how to report information, basic severe weather safety. There will be a free concert featuring Praise Hymn, a duo with Rick Omen and John Gee on Sunday, May 9th at Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church. All are invited. A light meal will be served at 6pm. Free admission.
The Muskingum County Country Music Hall of Fame will have their annual Spring Round and Square Dance from 7p.m. to 10p.m., Saturday, May 22, at the Newton Fire Facility, 5490 Mayesville Pike (St. Rt. 22) at White Cottage. The activities include Round, Square, and Line Dancing, cake walks, 50/50 drawing, door prizes and lots of good food prepared by the Hall of Fame members. Dancers and listeners of all ages are invited to attend. Adission is $3.00 per person and children 10 and under are admitted free. Plenty of parking including handicap parking. Doors open at 6p.m.
