On November 2nd at Cumberland United Methodist Church in Cumberland, OH. The menu includes ham loaf, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, noodles, perfection salad, roll, dessert, and drinks from 11am-?
The East Muskingum Middle School Boosters is having a Soup & Sandwich Dinner on October 21st from 5-7pm at East Muskingum Middle School, 13120 John Glenn School Road in New Concord. There will also be a themed basket raffle with nine different baskets, you do not need to be present to win. The cost is $4 per person with special family rates: a family of 3 is $10, family of 4 is $13, family of 5 is $17, and a family of 6 is $20. The dinner is open to everyone and will be during the parent/teacher conferences.
At Ohio University Zanesville on October 27th from 5:30-6:30 in the Elson Hall Auditorium. The contest is free and prizes including money, candy, and other gifts will be awarded.
At Beckett House Care Facility in New Concord, on October 22nd from 9-3. Wood crafts, original paintings, Christmas crafts, stained glass items, jewelery, and baked goods. There will also be a Chinese auction, and a quilt raffle, made by residents. All donations go to resident Christmas fund. For more information call Carmen Roe at 740-826-7649.
Continues on Sunday, October 17th at 2pm at the Stone Academy Museum, 115 Jefferson Street. The topic for this program is "Beyond Ohio: How Zanesville was affected by national and world events in 1810." The speaker will be Mike Kline, Ohio University-Zanesville Associate Professor Emeritus. Mike is in his 40th year of teaching Ohio and American History in Zanesville. He has served on the executive board of the Ohio Academy of History and is well known for his presentations at the Zanesville Civil War Roundtable.
Rambo Memorial Health Center is offering FREE flu shots to Muskingum County residents at 711 Main St. in Zanesville, Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm while the supply last. Flu shots are FREE to out-of-county residents with Medicare Part B. There is a $15 fee to other out-of-county residents.
All Muskingum County and out-of-county residents with Meidcare Part B, please bring your Medicare card with you.

Rolling Plains United Methodist Church is having their Ham and Turkey Dinner on Saturday, November 6th from 4-7pm. Tickets are $7 in advance & $8 at the door. Children 10 & under are $4. Featuring ham and turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, homemade noodles, fresh baked rolls, dessert and drink. Local businesses can be supportive of this event and gain marketing exposure by agreeing to offer a 10% discount on Monday, October 18th, posting a flyer in their business location, or by posting the message "We Support National Business Women's Week Oct. 18-22" on their outdoor or indoor message boards to increase public awareness of the contribution of women in the workplace.
