Shrivers Pharmacy will have Rambo Asthma Awareness day at their Zanesville location on May 27th from 10a.m. til 12p.m. Eric Blake is the Respiratory Therapist for Rambo and he will be running the show and providing free pulmonary function testing and free blood pressure screenings. He will bring a tent and set up in the far corner of their parking lot. He will have lots of educational info for people suffering from asthma.
St. Michael's Holy Name Society is sponsoring a Chicken BBQ on Sunday, May 30. Dinners will be served from 11a.m. to 1:30p.m. Take out available. Menu includes 1/2 chicken, baked potato or chips, baked beans, cole slaw, roll, dessert, and drink. There will also be an evening square dance, and afternoon and evening games 8-11p.m. Band performance by Little Creek. The church is located on State Route 260 east of Caldwell.

The Moose Lodge on West Pike, Zanesville, will have a Special Olympics Fun Day on Saturday, May 22 from 10a.m. - 3p.m.. There will be games and prizes for all ages. Admission is $2.00 a person. Public is invited. Other entertainment includes: Sparky The Fire Dog, Clown, Fire Truck, Face Painting, Chinease Auction, 50/50 drawing, stuffed animals, and flip flops of all sizes. The Family Support Group Subcommittee is planning another event for all who are affected by mental illness. Their Spring Fling will take place in the gymnasium of Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare on Thursday, May 20th. Shortley after 4p.m., Dr. Edward Schreck and his wife Mary Schreck will present information on suicide prevention. There will be a dinner for patients and families. The Zanesville Crime Stoppers Watch is having a recruitment meeting on May 17th at 6p.m. located at the Euclid Methodist Church. This meeting is open to any Zanesville resident who would like to join th neighborhood watch group and help clean up our Zanesville community.
