George is the News Director of the WHIZ Media Group. He also co-anchors the 6:00PM news on WHIZ-TV and anchors daily news updates on AM1240 and Z92 radio stations. George has been working at the station since 1981 and started as a general assignment reporter. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in communications. When not at work you can find George playing golf during the mornings on weekends and watching the Reds and Bengals win championships.
Carolyn Fleegle

After leaving the news business for six years to start a family, Carolyn Haley-Fleegle returned to WHIZ-TV in April, 2006 to anchor LIVE AT NOON. She also co-anchors the 6 PM news. Before leaving the station, Carolyn co-anchored the 6 o'clock news and anchored the news at 11 for seven years.
An Ohio native, Carolyn grew up in Kettering, a suburb of Dayton. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where she obtained a degree in Communications.
While not at work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her two sons going to the movies, bowling and playing miniature golf.
Nichole Medaugh

Nichole Medaugh is a native to southeastern Ohio growing up in Perry County in the Village of Corning. She is also a proud graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School.
Currently Nichole is a multi-platform journalist working in both radio and television news. She's also a proud member of the Ohio Associated Press Board.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication from Waynesburg College, emphasizing in both Sports Broadcasting/Sports Information and Journalism.
Nichole joined WHIZ in 2000 working as an intern before joining the news staff on a full time basis in 2005 as a photojournalist and sports reporter. She then fully committed to news as a reporter.
As a student at Waynesburg, Nichole held the position of Sports Director of WCYJ-FM her senior year, calling Yellow Jacket basketball games and high school football. She also was sports anchor for a weekly newscast on WC-TV and a contributing reporter to College Broadcast Incorporated Best Radio Newscast, "Greene County Matters." She was also a writer for the Waynesburg College Yellow Jacket newspaper.
Nichole chose broadcasting because of a love of her community and learning what is important to the people that live in Southeastern Ohio. She's always looking to hear a good story.
When she's not working you can find Nichole at various sporting events, especially if hockey is involved. She loves hiking at Blackhand Gorge and currently resides in Zanesville with her roommate and brother, Ephraim and her cat Ellie.
Jennifer Bullock

Jennifer was born and raised in Zanesville. She graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School and was very active in volleyball and track.
Jennifer joined WHIZ in February 2012 as a news reporter. She graduated from Ohio University in Athens, where she received her bachelor's degree in Broadcast News from the Scripps School of Journalism. She also received specializations in Spanish and Geography.
While studying at OU, Jennifer worked at WOUB Television as a reporter, anchor and producer for Athens MidDay Television. Jennifer also interned at WHIZ during the summer of her junior year in college.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and watching sports. Her favorite teams are the Ohio University Bobcats and the Buckeyes, of course! She is also an active member of Hands of Faith Church.
Jennifer is excited to be back in her hometown of Zanesville and looks forward to working as part of the WHIZ news team!
Erika Brooks

Erika joined the WHIZ News team as a reporter in May 2012.
Born and raised in Marengo, Ohio Erika graduated from The Ohio State University in March 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
While at Ohio State Erika anchored and reported for Buckeye TV News, Ohio State's student produced news show.
Erika enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends and hiking around Dresden with her two dogs. She also loves anything to do with the Buckeyes!
She is excited to start her reporting career here in Zanesville and looks forward to becoming part of the community.
