The Guernsey County Sheriff says his deputies were called to an incident at the Colgate Palmolive Plant in Cambridge to investigate the death of a man.

It happened Monday around 11:30 in the morning.

Sheriff Mike McCauley says 60-year-old Dave Mosser of Carrollton, who was working as an electrical contractor, was found by a co-worker on the ground of the plant with burn marks on his body.

Mosser was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sheriff McCauley says he is not calling the incident an electrocution.

Guernsey County Coroner Dr Janet Brockwell says the incident is still under investigation, but in her opinion some type of medical event happened, like a heart attack, and that led to Mosser coming in contact with the electrical source.

Dr. Brockwell says the family has requested that an autopsy not be performed and the coroner agreed.

Colgate Palmolive Officials have not yet commented on the incident.
