Walk through the Ramada Inn on the East Pike and you might notice something strange.
Several of the hotel rooms have opened their doors to pottery lovers across the area, selling local and national brands of pottery.
“There are dealers from all over the country,” said President of the Pottery Lovers Association Joe Tunnell. “There are many museum quality pieces of pottery. The nice thing is there is everything from a $20 piece of pottery to a $10,000 piece of pottery. There’s a wide range of pottery for all types of collectors.”
Tunnell says the show and sale have always seen hundreds of visitors, and this year they hope to see even more.
“We hope we have lots of people,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of new collectors calling this year, so we’re expecting a lot of first time people this year.”
The show and sale is part of the pottery lovers reunion and convention.
The show will be open at the Ramada Inn on the East Pike Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
