Restaurants and businesses throughout downtown Zanesville opened their doors for a Taste of the Y-City.
Zak’s on Third was just one of the restaurants who had specials this evening.
“It’s a great discount also,” said Zak’s co-owner Susan Zakany. “Some of the vendors are running discounts and the shops are open running free venues of music and tastings. It’s a real eye feast too, to look at the artwork.”
Zakany says this is a great way to breathe life into downtown Zanesville.
“It brings people into the downtown streets,” she said. “It brings people walking around and it’s all about synergy, just getting energy downtown and going in and out of the shops.”
Restaurants and shops offered pottery, antiques, food and music. Local artists also displayed their musical talents and artwork.
This year’s taste included more than 50 businesses.
