A Washington County man was sentenced this week in Muskingum County on vehicular manslaughter charges.
29-year-old Derek Petry of Macksburg, who was originally charged with vehicular homicide appeared before Judge Eric Martin Wednesday and received 90 days in jail for his role in the death of a passenger in his vehicle.
It happened in November of 2007 on State Route 146 near Watson Road.
Killed in the accident was 23-year-old Nathan Hallowell of Macksburg.
Court officials say Petry also received a two year license suspension, 750 dollar fine and court costs and intensive probation for five years once he is released from custody.
