The State Highway Patrol is investigating a three vehicle accident that sent one of the drivers to the hospital.
According to the Zanesville Post, the accident happened just before 8:30 Monday morning on State Route 16 near Conesville.
Authorities say Phillip Nolan of Lancaster was driving east on 16 in a construction zone when he failed to slow down and struck the rear of the car stopped in front of him.
That car, driven by Dewey Turbeville of Conesville then struck the car in front of him which was driven by Carol Wilson of Coshocton.
Turbeville was taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital and then flown to Grant Hospital in Columbus with chest injuries.
The other two drivers were not hurt.
Nolan was cited for not having an assured clear distance ahead.
