“Fun Day” At Mid-East Career and Technology Centers

It was the perfect day for some fun in the sun at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers. A Chinese auction, pony rides, food and games all helped raise money for student organizations at Mid-East.

“Then the car show and the 5K run that we had today those events are going to go toward scholarships to help students pay for their fees,” says Mike Hawley the Assistant Director at Mid-East.

This is the second year Mid-East has held a “Fun Day” and they hope to make it a tradition. There were events for all ages and Hawley says they had a great turnout.

“Glad to have a lot of people involved and were really happy to be a part of the community and we want to keep spreading the word about mid-east and the opportunities there are here for high school and adults”

Hawley says last year the event raised around four thousand dollars for the school.
