Local counties will soon be seeing money to help them improve outdoor recreation facilities.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is administering two grants that will fund almost 100 projects across the state of Ohio.

Muskingum County will receive about 32 thousand dollars to develop a skatepark in New Concord.

Morgan County will receive about five thousand dollar for an iron fencing replacement at Embree Park in McConnellsville.

Licking County will receive about 24 thousand dollars to develop a playground at the Newark Town Commons and swimming pool renovations at Beechwood Trails Pool and Park, and Coshocton County will receive about 31 thousand dollars for new shelters at the Coshocton Airport Amphitheater and expanding a walking path at the Coshocton City Park.
