A man from Parkersburg, West Virginia who came to Zanesville to buy and drive home his new motorcycle is in the hospital after crashing on State Route 60 near the 719 bridge.
Deputies say around 5:30 pm, the man was riding his motorcycle when he blacked-out due to a medical condition, lost control and struck a mailbox.
The man was alert and conscious as he left the scene and was transported by Community Ambulance to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Family members told deputies the man had diabetes and that may have caused him to black-out. No one else was involved in the accident.
Sherrif’s deputies, Wayne Township Fire Department and Community Ambulance all responded to the accident.
