Salvation Army Captain Diane Campbell says its August School Clothing Giveaway has been a success.
She says thanks to the community, it was able to give kids a little bit more this year.
“We were able to give at least 5 outfits, and we gave out 57 hundred clothes all-together, a little bit over that, ” says Campbell.
Campbell says the need is there.
“A lot more people are going for used clothes because they might not be able to afford some of the newer clothes. So, yes, it has increased, ” says Campbell.
A total of 12 tables were set up for the School Clothing Giveaway. Campbell says the Salvation Army still has two tables left for families in need.
