Power is out for some Zanesville residents after a semi-truck hits a utility pole.

It happened around 10:30 on the corner of Wayne Avenue and Hughes Street.

"AEP is here," said Zanesville Fire Chief Dave Lacy. "They have some primary lines on this pole. They have supervisors here now, making a determination on how they’re going to replace the pole."

Chief Lacy says the Zanesville Police have caught up with the truck driver.

The pole is connected to the Hughes Street sub-station. Lacy says he’s not sure how many people are affected by the accident.
