The Zanesville Police Department is still investigating a hit and skip that took place last night.
It happened around 9:15 p.m. at the corner of Downard Road and Concord Drive.
Lieutenant Coury says a 39-year-old Zanesville woman intentionally hit a 36-year-old Zanesville woman with her car and then took off.
The victim was taken by a friend to the hospital where she was treated and released with minor injuries.
Coury says his department does know the driver who was involved and is waiting to speak with her.
Coury was not able to comment if charges would be filed, but he does says the incident is being deemed as an assault.
