K of C Cruise-In and Rib Roast Sets a Record

The sun was shining off the hoods of more than 100 classic cars this Sunday.

The 11th annual Knights of Columbus Council #505 Cruise-In and Rib Roast brought big crowds to eat pulled pork sandwiches and check out the classic cars.

"Last time I checked we set a new record last year.  We set a record with 113 cars, this year last I checked there was about 116 or 117 so it is going to be another record year," says Mike Hutchinson, a Knights of Columbus member.

Admittance cost is $7 dollars and all the money will go to the various charities supported by the Knights of Columbus. Hutchison says they hope to raise around $1,500 dollars Sunday.

"Zanesville is such a giving community that its just really kind of touching that you know we can do things where people come in and help us so we can help others," tells Hutchinson.

The Knights of Columbus Council #505 sponsors events such as the Punt, Pass and Kick Competition and taking 22 veterans from the Chillocothe Veterans Hospital out for lunch on the Lorena. Hutchinson says the Knights of Columbus are proud to help support the community through various charities.
