High school students in the community are trying to do their part to keep people warm as the chill of fall approaches.

The Community Youth Foundation is holding a coat drive, starting today, through October 21st. You can drop coats off at any of the collection stations, which can be found at all six Century National Banks and the Muskingum County Community Foundation.

"It would be really good if people would find those incredibly shrinking coats that are in their closets and bring them in, " says Executive Director, David Mitzel.

Or if you’ve lost weight and your coats are too big for you.

Mitzel says they are accepting any gently used coats.

He says it’s important for students to take part in these kinds of projects, especially now

"Any projects that provide some relief to people who unfortunately-through no fault of their own-are suffering, " says Mitzel.

This is the second year for the coat drive.
