The City of Zanesville has a new treasurer.
Paul DuBeck was approved this evening to take over the remaining two years of Walter "Butch" Norris’ term. Dubeck says he plans to take the job seriously.
"I do have intentions of running," said DuBeck. "This isn’t a two year in and out deal. I like the the work in city, I like being a part of the city and it’s administration. Hopefully I can get in there and do the proper job that I can do."
Dubeck was appointed Thursday by the mayor and will now serve the remainder of Norris’ two year term.
Dubeck says he will start as treasurer tomorrow.
