Earlier this week, Toyota announced a major recall involving 3.8 million vehicles due to a possible safety issue with the cars’ removable floor mats.
The recall was announced one month after a fatal accident in southern California. Jim Kobunski the General Manager and Vice President of Tansky Toyota says people should not be worried.
"That was an isolated case that happened out in California. It was on a Lexus and the Toyota group is making an effort to make sure all floor mats are tied down at this point just because that did happen," says Kobunski.
Kobunski says anyone with questions can call or come in and they will be assisted with whatever they need.
The vehicle being recalled are:
- 2007-2010 Camry
- 2005-2010 Avalon
- 2004-2009 Prius
- 2005-2010 Tacoma
- 2007-2010 Tundra
