Christ’s Table Serves Thanksgiving Dinner

While some are at home celebrating the holidays, others are out helping in the community.

Christ’s Table is just one place where some spent their time helping serve Thanksgiving lunch to others who may not have had a warm meal otherwise.

"We have more volunteers on the holidays than we do on a typical day. Everyone just wants to do their part by helping serve and do things in here," said Kitchen Coordinator Tina Adolph.

Adolph said they will never turn away a volunteer and always appreciate the help. She said this year, the number of people coming in for a warm Thanksgiving meal seems to have dropped off a bit.

"It’s been pretty steady for the most part. We started serving a little earlier because we had so many people who were lined up," she said. "We’re hoping more will trickle in during the next hour or so."

Adolph said Christ’s Table has a lot to be thankful for this year. Although their numbers have gone up, 10-percent higher for the month of October than the same month last year, the donations have been steady.
