The Muskingum County Courthouse is getting decked out for the holidays.
There are Christmas lights all over the buidling, some candy canes, and even Christmas figurines on the front lawn.
The big spectacle this year though is the 23 foot Christmas tree that stands before the front steps of the Courthouse.
"It should be bright. It should be beautiful. The commissioners wanted to do this to life people’s spirits this time of year. I think it’s going to be a wonderful thing, " says Muskingum County Facility Superintendent, George Adams.
It’s the first time in about 15 years that there’s been a Christmas tree at the Courthouse. It will be illuminated with close to three thousand lights.
The official lighting of the Courthouse will take place on December 2nd around 6:30 p.m. during the "Miracle on Main Street" celebration event.
