By Christmastime work on the sewer project in the Eastpointe Industrial Park will finish.
At the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority meeting Thursday the board received an update on the project as well as the job ready site concrete pad project, which is progressing thanks to nice weather. One snag is laying the rail line which is still under negotiation.
"We requested a one year extension on our job ready site grant from the time period standpoint just so we can get the rail done," said Jerry Nolder executive director of the Port Authority.
The concrete pad also being built is progressing.
"We’ve had really good weather the last two weeks," said Nolder. "They’ve been able to move dirt up to bring up to grade."
Also discussed was the State Route 93/22 connector road project. The board should find out by mid December whether or not the state will release over $2 million earmarked to finish environmental assesments and engineering reports.
