The Secretary of State’s office is making it easier for Ohioans to access information for Muskingum County and others in the state.
A new section of the Secretary of State’s website, launched in July, promises to better the lives of those in Ohio by providing the means to track data on social trends, workforce climate and one stop information on grant writing.
"You need good information so that you can properly diagnose what the problems a community might be experiencing that aren’t perhaps readily apparent," said Assistant Secretary of State Mike Rankin.
Rankin says that already he sees the City of Zanesville is working hard to build its infrastructure.
"It’s very clear that here in Zanesville you have some very good public/private partnerships in terms of good planning and that’s what going to take to get Ohio back to good," said Rankin.
As more data becomes available the site will continue to evolve. The site took two years to develop at no extra cost to tax payers.
