Elvis Is in the Building

For all you Elvis fans, he will be in the building very soon-the Muskingum County Center for Seniors building that is.

The center is holding an Elvis concert to raise funds for a van, which is a much needed item for the center.

"We got the bright idea that we would like to do something to raise money for a bus for the activities department here at the center," said Activities Supervisor Carol Morgan. "We decided on a Mike Albert concert, who will impersonate Elvis, since we have seen several of his concerts."

Morgan says having the vehicle would allow the center more flexibility for activities.

"We can take the seniors on trips," said Executive Assistant Janice Funk. "All we have now is a little van and we can’t take very many. It’s pretty confining and uncomfortable. One of the 24 passenger buses would be more convenient for them to get in and out."

The concert will be held Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
