The Muskingum County Board of Elections is busy making sure each polling station is prepared to handle voters today.

Voters can come cast their ballots as early as 6:30 this morning. and the polls will close at 7:30 tonight.

Executive Director, Chris Hamill says to make sure you have a form of ID on you.

"Please make sure you review everything that is going to be on your ballot. So, when you go to the polls, you’ll know exactly how you want to vote when you get there, " says Hamill.

Hamill says voter turnout is expected to be between 30 and 40 percent, and she says the Board of Elections has already taken in over five thousand absentee ballots, with absentee voting ending at four p.m. Monday afternoon.

She says there are some popular issues on the November ballot.

"The state issues, issue two and three seem to be quite popular, and also we have our two county issues that are on the ballot. That’s Rambo and the library. They seem to be very important, " says Hamill.
