The Zanesville Community Theatre is spreading holiday cheer while helping make sure every child gets a present this Christmas.
The 65 person cast and crew of the 19th Annual Angel Tree Benefit sang and danced through four sold out shows all to help the Salvation Army
"Every dime from tickets to donations, we toss our usual ticket price for a donation and our sales for the raffle go directly toward the Angel Tree Benefit for the Salvation Army. We don’t keep a thing," says Shellie Tolliver the Assistant Director and Producer.
The show raised $3,800 for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree. The show is being directed by Richard Tolliver and the cast began rehearsing in October. Shellie Tolliver says the show would not be possible without all the support from the community and area businesses.
"We are a success because of the community. With everybody’s help and participation and we sure appreciate everyone’s donations and contributions of time and effort and money and it wouldn’t be a success without the community," tells Shellie Tolliver.
Tolliver says the Angel Tree Benefit is the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of the holidays.
